The house was built in 1920 as a request of Esteban J. Louge; and it is the work of the architect Blas Dhers. At first, the project was to build a summer residence for the large Louge family. With this slogan as a working guideline, Dhers made a construction of two floors with an English style in its exterior, illuminated with the natural sunlight that enters through more than 30 gaps of red cedar and distributed glasses.
Stylish Facilities
Currently, it is preserved in its original state both in its interior and exterior.
The construction is a vivid evidence of the events that occurred in Argentina between 1920-1930, a unique period because of the incoming of a big affluent of immigrants with different traditions and habits. The melting pot of cultures influenced the many aspects of the daily life of our country, and among them, to the architecture. For this reason, the Isolina house is characterized by a clear English style facade, with a conventual inner courtyard and Spanish features, whereas the furniture is a mixture of different styles: colonial, English and French, giving the estancia a unique aspect.
